Give yourself (or your students) the opportunity to thrive.
Unfortunately, college wasn’t designed for those with chronic conditions. There are many aspects of campus life that work fine for the average student, but cause immense difficulty in the lives of spoonies. That’s where we come in.
Navigating College With Chronic Illness
6-week group education and support
Weekly hour-long sessions, led virtually by Sarah and Leah, help students to tackle obstacles and create a plan of action for themselves. General sessions take place once per semester - please contact us for upcoming session details.
Topic breakdowns are as follows:
Week 1: How to discuss your illness and obtain accomodations
Week 2: Healthcare while on campus
Week 3: Navigating the dining hall
Week 4: Getting around your campus
Week 5: Preventing flares and crashes
Week 6: Best movement practices
We welcome the opportunity to work directly with universities to tailor our program to the offerings of your institution. We may be able to offer in-person sessions, dependent on location. Please inquire below for a quote.
Movement Essentials for POTS and EDS
Individual or group movement programming
A fully customizable experience! Choose either one-on-one sessions with Sarah or Leah up to 4 times/week, or small group training. Sarah specializes in nutrition and personal training for POTS, and Leah is certified in both corrective exercise and the Integral Movement Method, the gold standard for EDS exercise therapy. Sessions are held virtually via Zoom.
These practices are individually designed to support you exactly where you’re at. We are able to alter sessions as needed to account for flares or injury, or when you’re just low on spoons. Personal and group training helps you to hold yourself accountable, while offering the guidance of experts who have your best interest in mind. We’ve seen firsthand just how much of an impact these practices can make - let us show you.
